what do you need for first horse riding lessons?

i am thinking about starting horse riding i am not sure what i need to buy before i go to my first lessons! help!

Comfortable durable casual clothing. Hold off on purchasing specific equipment until you get past your first lesson.

Most facilities have a helmet and other equipment for a beginner. Make certain that you have enough interest before committing serious funds.

    Riding boots and a helmet, those are the most important. If you want to spend a bit you can buy riding pants to make it easier, but jeans also work. Have fun!

    You really only need pants and shoes with a small heel on them. Check with your instructer to see if you can borrow a helmet from her/him. You dont need gloves or a crop.
